RF Microneedling

RF MICRONEEDLING

treatments

As we get older, the levels of certain molecules in our skin start to drop. The reduced levels of these molecules mean skin begins to lose its elasticity. As a result, you may notice your skin sagging and fine lines and wrinkles forming. RF Microneedling treatments—including the Scarlet and Agnes treatments—work to restore elasticity and youthfulness to your skin by restoring those essential molecules.

Scarlet SRF

At ReDefine we use Scarlet SRF, provided by Aesthetic Management Partners, a next-generation short-pulse radio frequency (SRF) treatment with microneedling that targets virtually any skin issue. It is one of the safest treatments in RF systems, with minimal to no downtime or side effects. The device can tighten and lift skin on the neck and body, and can also improve common issues, such as skin texture, pores, photo-aging, scars, and striae.

Agnes RF

Agnes RF microneedling is specialized for the face, but that’s not the only thing that makes it unique: Agnes treatments use a microinsulated needle. This makes Agnes facial treatments more targeted and individualized—and potentially more effective at treating specific facial skin conditions.

Another innovation that’s unique to Agnes microneedling is that the RF this treatment uses has a different waveform shape to other treatments. This helps reduce the risk of uncomfortable skin burns during treatment.

Agnes microneedling is safe for all skin types and skin tones, but even if your skin isn’t sensitive, you may still have a reaction to the treatment. Most people experience at least some minor redness, discomfort, and swelling. If you have questions about recovery, be sure to ask your provider during your consultation.

Treatment Areas

  • Lift and tighten facial skin
  • Smooth wrinkles
  • Treat cystic acne
  • Define the jawline
  • Remove unwanted fat from puffy lower eyelids

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Scarlet treatments will I need? How long does it take before I see improvement?

Some visible tightening results come immediately and the results of dermal remodeling appear gradually over two to three months as collagen and elastin fibers regenerate. The results of a single treatment can last six months to a year following one treatment, a series of treatments may be recommended to achieve the optimum result.

How long does a Scarlet treatment take?

Scarlet SRF treatments take about 20 minutes for the face and 10 minutes for the neck. The time needed for a body treatment depends on the size and condition of the area to be treated. Scarlet SRF is both time-efficient and revolutionarily effective.

What to expect with your Scarlet SRF treatment?

For a few hours after your treatment, redness and some swelling can be expected. Your skin may feel warm like you’ve had a mild sunburn. For those receiving a scalp treatment, you may feel a slight pulling or tugging sensation for a few days post-treatment.

What is the Scarlet SRF recovery time?

Many patients return to their regular daily activities immediately following a Scarlet SRF treatment. There is minimal to no downtime with Scarlet SRF. There is little to no bleeding or sensitivity as often experienced with other microneedle treatments.

How is Scarlet SRF treatment for different skin types?

Unlike most laser treatments, Scarlet SRF is safe and works on all skin types. Scarlet SRF coagulates total dermal layers to rejuvenate total skin without any pigmentation. Scarlet SRF selectively heats total dermal layers to rejuvenate skin without any risk of epidermal pigmentation changes.

Is there any prep associated with Scarlet SRF treatments?

Usually, it’s recommended that patients avoid blood thinners for one week before treatment. Additionally, it’s advised to avoid laser treatments, chemical peels, or any other more intense treatment at last four weeks prior to your appointment.
